Let it Snow...Let it Snow

These are some pictures I took at Siver Falls Park. It was really pretty up there, but also really cold. There was about 2 ft of snow there and it was snowing while we were there!!!

The boys were makeing snowballs(it was the perfect snowball snow) and thorwing them into the river/falls.

I am fully enjoying the snow. It has been snowing and freezing for about a week now and isn't supposed to stop until Monday. Maybe we will have a white Christmas after all!! On Saturday we went up to the falls. Wow, it was really pretty up there. There was about 4-6 inches of snow up there too. The boys played in the snow and made huge snowballs and dropped them in the river. They didn't ever seem to get cold, but Eli and I sure did, by the time we were got back to the car my toes and hands were really cold. The drive up there was also really pretty, we passed a lot of naturally flocked Christmas trees and just a lot of snow(for Oregon that is.) I do have to say that as pretty as the snow is and as much fun as it is I would rather have summer and the warm sun(not the Oregon sun, it is to undependable!!) Snow does have a magical effect on things though and it makes Christmas more memorable and fun.

School is.......Canceled

This past week we have had pretty odd weather for Oregon, it has been snowing almost all week long!!! So being an Oregonian the school superintendent canceled school on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. I'm OK with that but we have to miss our last game against a big rival-Pratum! I do have to admit I was disappointed when he canceled it on Monday our game day but it was nice to have no school for a couple of days and have our Christmas break extended. On Tuesday and Thursday we had 2 hour delays which was also nice-I didn't have to get up so early! With no school I decided to clean my room. It was nice to get all the clothes put away and every thing else picked up I finally have my room back! No it wasn't that bad:) We also went shopping and I got to make some fun treats. The snow also was really fun and really pretty.

Thanksgiving

Karl the Giant nutcracker-we went to a nutcracker and saw him!!

Us all at the Aplets and Cotlets factory(after the tour hence the hair nets:)

For Thanksgiving we went to Leavenworth, Washington(I had never heard of the town :) It is a little German town with lots of little (mainly German) shops. My aunt and uncle and their family stayed with us in a big cabin. On our way there we were in a windy place and our thule opened on the highway. There was bags all down the road. It was a mess. As we continued down the road the lock that was already broken fell off. It was quite the adventure to keep the lid of the thule down. Anyway we had a nice time, relaxing, reading, watching t.v., walking around the town and eating a turkey/ham thanksgiving dinner.

We Win and We Lose

Our b-ball team is doing ok. We are now 3-3. It is not the best record but it will do. Our goal is to win the rest of our games. We have a home game on Wednesday, then next week we have one away game at Central Howell. Our last game is the next Monday after that away at Pratum. We can do this, right Vikings!!
